Overwrapping (O.P.P.)

Overwrapping, also known as tuck and fold, is a fully enclosed wrap using heat sealable film. Overwrapping fulfills three different functions which is primary packaging, secondary packaging, and the third is transit packaging for a collation of loose products. The purpose of overwrapping is to improve shelf life and to deliver multi-packing convenience . Multi-packs are becoming more common and overwrapping is often used to bring together a variety of products together for a marketing promotion.
